| Name of Hotel: | Jing An Hotel |
| Comments about Hotel: | Very nice, but not as modern as the other hotels we stayed in. The hotel was very elegant and had been a French diplomatic residence during the 1930s, according to our guide. There were beautiful stained glass panels in the lobby. Our room was small but clean. A crib was provided, but it was tipsy and higher at one end than the other! Bottled water was replenished several times a day, and there was also a hotpot for boiling water. The bathroom was very nice. |
| Sights to See in this city: | The Bund, War Memorial, Yu Gardens, Buddhist temple. |
| Baby supplies can be purchased at: | We didn't see any shopping areas near the hotel, but you'll see many stores while you're sightseeing. |
| Places to eat we liked: | The restaurant in the hotel served a small buffet-style breakfast. Note that the restaurant is on the 10th floor, but the elevator only goes to the 9th floor. You have to go to the 9th floor and then walk up a flight of stairs to reach the restaurant. No one told us this at first, so we were very confused! |
| Things you ought to know while staying here: | The Hilton Hotel next door has an United Airlines ticket office, where we were able to confirm our seats for the trip home. |
