Travel Route in China: Flew into Guangzhou from Hong Kong

Comments about Hotel: 5 Star - This appears to be the first alternate to the White Swan. The rooms and the staff are excellent and quite used to dealing with new families.
Office or Orphanage: Guangdong Province Adoption paperwork, U.S. Consulate for INS processing.
Sights to See in this city: The Five Rams Park, the Qingping Market, Temple of the Six Banyan Trees, take a walk around Shamien Island, Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall, among others.
Baby supplies can be purchased at: A shop in the hotel shopping arcade
Places to eat we liked: Hotel restaurant on the second floor overlooking the lobby, Pan Xi Restaurant which has a legendary Dim Sum lunch, the Hard Rock Cafe in the basement level if you are desparate for a burger.
Things you ought to know while staying here: You are about a 20 minute ride to Shamien Island where all the US related adoption processing occurs. There is a McDonalds across the street for those needing a fix.
